SASO Certification (Saudi Arabia)

The China Quality Certification Center recently received a letter from the Saudi Arabian Bureau of Standards, Metrology, and Quality Control (SASO) explaining the strict prohibition of adding the words 'SASO' on products and packaging exported to Saudi Arabia. It is hereby emphasized that:

1. Manufacturers and exporters are advised not to affix, mold, or print SASO words or SASO logos on products and any packaging exported to Saudi Arabia without formal written permission from SASO.

2. Without formal written permission from SASO, please do not label, mold, or print phrases such as 'This product meets SASO standards' on products exported to Saudi Arabia and any layer of packaging.

3. The contents of Article 1 and Article 2 above are strictly prohibited by SASO. Even if your Saudi buyer requires you to do so on the product or packaging, please be sure to inform your buyer that you cannot do so.

4. If the above situation occurs, your goods will be refused clearance by Saudi customs.

Brief introduction
