EU Food Grade

EU Food Grade

The EU food grade indicates that 'the product is suitable for packaged food'. Products that have not come into contact with food before sale (such as cookware, tableware, electrical products) must have the EU food grade mark affixed to the product or packaging.

EU Food Grade Application Procedure

(1) Application letter for evaluation or re evaluation (supplementary information);

(2) Technical information documents include: substance name, characteristics, physicochemical characteristics, use, approval status of member countries or other countries, migration data, residues in packaging materials, microbiological characteristics, toxicological data, etc;

(3) Applicant Summary Data Sheet;

(4) Provide 2 CDs with the materials, including all application materials, and 1 copy of each application material that does not involve confidential content;

Attention: It is recommended that enterprises exporting products to the European Union strengthen their awareness of product instructions and use knives, forks, and wine glass forks with caution. Because these two markings mean that the product can come into contact with any food and be used under any conditions.

In addition, some EU member states, such as Germany and France, in addition to strictly following the EU Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 directive, also have local food grade regulations that must be followed, such as Germany's LFGB (LMBG) and France's DGCCRF2004-64.
