 Best Buy Factory Inspection

一、Best Buy Factory Inspection Code of Conduct

Best Buy promises to respect local customs and habits in its global operations, while also requiring our employees, agents, service providers, suppliers, and their subcontractors to comply with relevant laws and industry standards.

This supplier code expects Best Buy suppliers and their subcontractors to comply with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements, provide a fair and dignified work environment, and jointly share environmental protection and implement effective safety measures.

Suppliers must allow Best Buy and its clients (including third parties) to conduct audit activities to ensure compliance with this standard, including unannounced audits, viewing documents and records, and conducting private conversations with employees. Similarly, suppliers should also evaluate the production facilities of their subordinate suppliers and service providers, including documents, records, and other relevant information.

If Best Buy discovers through factory audits or other means that a supplier cannot meet the requirements of this standard, Best Buy will provide corresponding suggestions to help the supplier rectify the non conformities. However, Best Buy reserves the right to cancel outstanding orders, stop placing orders, or terminate cooperation with suppliers in specific circumstances.

1. Abide by discipline and laws

Suppliers must comply with all relevant laws and regulations of their country or region, including but not limited to labor and employment laws of their country, as well as any applicable US laws. It is particularly important to emphasize that suppliers should comply with the requirements of the country's laws and regulations regarding product involvement, production, packaging, labeling, and import involved in the production and distribution process.

2. Code of Conduct

Suppliers are expected to comply with the following basic labor and human rights standards. This standard includes the requirements of the FLA Workplace Code of Conduct, which is based on the core labor standards of the International Labour Organization. The following laws to be referenced include all regulations that comply with relevant local legal requirements.

3. Do not use forced labor

Suppliers shall not use forced labor, whether it is prisoners, indentured labor, slaves, or other forms of forced labor.

4. Do not use child labor

Best Buy's policy clearly stipulates that it will not cooperate with any supplier who illegally or improperly uses underage workers. Similarly, Best Buy expects its suppliers not to use workers below the minimum working age required by local law or below the local age for completing compulsory education, whichever is higher. However, suppliers are not allowed to recruit or hire workers under the age of 15.

5. Do not harass or abuse

Suppliers must respect every employee. Personal, sexual, psychological, or verbal harassment or abuse of employees is not allowed.

6. Non discrimination

No employee shall be discriminated against on the grounds of gender, race, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, political views, social status, or ethnic minorities in terms of employment, wages, benefits, promotion, discipline, dismissal, or retirement.
